Zenobia Therapeutics was founded June 1, 2008 by a group of scientists with over 100 combined years of experience in structure-directed drug design and fragment-based lead discovery.  We are focused the strengths of fragment-based methods to find novel, drug-like compounds that will cross the blood-brain barrier.  Through close collaboration with leading experts in the field of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases, we are developing inhibitors for newly identified targets that may be rapidly tested in cell and animal models.

Working with foundations, research institutes and government agencies, we are seeking funding to discover treatments for rare diseases for which there is no cure. Our cost effective approach produces clinical candidates without the significant investment required for large-scale high-throughput screening campaigns and the building of large organizations.

Zenobia was a warrior who led her people to victory after finding herself ruler of the Palmyrene empire.  She defeated the Romans twice and when captured by Rome, charmed her captors and died a Roman diplomat. Like Zenobia, we are fighting to find treatments for CNS disease and will not stop until we are successful.
