Laboratory Space |

We
are proud of the laboratory and office space of our corporate headquarters. We are
located in the
La Jolla Cove Research Center
in beautiful La Jolla, California. A portion of our laboratory
space is pictured to the left.
This center was the original site of the
Scripps Research Institute and has housed many companies that went on to
do great things. Our laboratory space includes a tissue culture room
for baculovirus expression, cold room to keep our crystals safe and
enough bench space to purify and crystallize even the most difficult
targets. In addition, since this is an "incubator" facility,
we have access to community areas, conference rooms, and a large 100
seat auditorium. We are even within a few steps of the Pacific
Ocean.

We
take pride in our ability to solve the difficult problems. Challenges
are met with enthusiasm and excitement that comes from
people that are good at what they do and excited about the outcome.
Indeed, someone once said that we have "magic dust" and that
we use this magic dust to solve the difficult expression problems,
purification issues and crystal optimization. Well, we
don't have magic dust, we have magic people. Our extensive
experience in designing constructs for crystallization, expression and
purification of difficult targets and skills in finding even the most
elusive crystallization conditions sets Zenobia Therapeutics apart. Our equipment includes specialized rooms
for cell culture, state of the art shakers/incubators, bench top
and cold-room protein purification setups
and crystallization optimization equipment. |

X-Ray Crystallography |

We
have contracted with a number of the country's outstanding X-Ray beam lines
to collect and process high throughput crystallographic data for our
target proteins and protein/ligand complexes. The facilities include the
Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Berkley, The Advanced Photon Source (APS)
at Argonne National Labs and Brookhaven National Laboratories (BNL) in
Long Island. In addition, we have an ongoing contract with Shamrock
Structures, LLC a premiere data collection company associated with, among
others, the APS at Argonne, IL. We are confident that with so many
opportunities for data collection, Zenobia scientists will be
able to achieve rapid turn-around in all aspects of fragment-based
and structure-directed drug discovery. |

We are dedicated to high quality
data reduction, storage, retrieval and traceability methods. Through our
custom on-line databases, we can easily track the progress of all of our
programs and capture and archive all relevant data. We have a stringent
records policy to protect our intellectual property and property of our
clients. We are also very open to new technologies and methods that
reduce costs and increase productivity. To that end, we are exploring
the use of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, e-sign processes, online
collaboration tools, IP telephony, video conferencing and telepresence. |
