Library 1

Fragment library 1 serves as a first pass screen for your fragment-based lead discovery project.  The criteria for this library are more stringent than the commonly quoted rule-of-three. Potencies for compounds with these properties typically range from 1-10,000 uM. Highly soluble (200mM in 100% DMSO), the library is suitable for screening with most well known screening methods including NMR, SPR and x-ray crystallography. There are 352 compounds in total. We ship the library as dry films in 96 well plates. Compounds are pre-grouped into shape-diverse mixtures for crystallographic screens.  Approximately, 1.5 mg of each compound is included in the kit (0.05ml of a 200mM solution when dissolved).

FAQ Library 1:
How many compounds does the first pass library have?
Zenobia’s first pass library contains 352 compounds. The compounds are plated to facilitate screening with shape-diverse mixtures.

How is the library distributed and used? The library is distributed on four 96 well plates containing dry compound. Addition of 50μL of solvent will yield a 200mM solution. Compounds are soluble to 200mM in 100% DMSO.

What is the recommended storage for Zenobia’s fragment library? We recommend that the plates are stored at room temperature. It is important that the area does not have a lot of moisture. For long term storage, a desiccator may be used. Once dissolved, we recommend aliquoting and freezing the plates to avoid freeze-thaw aggregation issues.

Does Zenobia sell the fragments as individuals? We currently don't sell the fragments as individuals however if you would like to buy them we would be happy to discuss this possibility.

How many mixtures of each compound can be made? As far as mixtures - the compounds are pre-plated so you can make mixtures of 8 for crystal screening (shape diverse) by mixing the contents of each column. So these mixtures are chemically compatible.

Does Zenobia offer another fragment libraries? Zenobia is happy to announce Library 2 which was co-developed with BioBlocks using their unique chemical building blocks.
